As an Instructor (Chemistry Laboratory), you will:
Serve as the instructor for laboratory classes of Instructional Chemistry courses. Exercise responsibility for setting up the apparatus and/or safely preparing chemicals for chemistry demonstrations and each of the General Chemistry and Chemistry for Marine Engineers experiments. Put out and store the apparatus needed for each of the Physics 1, Physics 2, and Physics 3 experiments. Exercise responsibility for the accurate preparation of standard chemical solutions with precise normality and molarity specifications, using gravimetric and volumetric procedures. Exercise responsibility for maintaining chemicals in a safe manner and maintaining and repairing equipment. Serve as the property custodian and assist in purchasing activities for the department. The candidate must be a highly motivated and experienced professional possessing a Master's degree in experimental Chemistry and experience teaching freshman-level undergraduate Chemistry or Chemistry laboratory courses. To be qualified for this position, you must have:
At least one year full-time experience teaching freshman-level Chemistry or Chemistry Laboratory courses in a college or university (other than as a part of teaching assistantship) and experience conducting experimental work in a chemistry laboratory. Your resume and application materials (including transcripts) must show that you have the education and specialized experience necessary to teach Chemistry laboratory courses at the college level and manage instructional chemistry laboratories.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
