Retail Store Manager

Jenny Craig a leading health, wellness and active-living company, is looking for a Manager to run one of our local retail locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day management and support of the Jenny Craig center, staff and clients to meet the needs of the center
Local community marketing through creating business relationships, and generating sales locally
Ensure communication from home office and field management are filtered to all positions; keep the team well informed
Build and manage high-performance and effective teams that work together, demonstrate passion and customer-centricity
Determine staffing requirements to meet the needs of the center, perform selection interviews, evaluate skills and match positions with appropriate employees
Monitor results through various systems (i.e., monitoring and controlling payroll expenses and reports to evaluate and make decisions based on key performance indicators, etc.)
Create employee development and continuous improvement center action plans by analyzing and diagnosing strengths and weaknesses
Lead by example displaying a willingness to assist with any task and encourage a cooperative environment
Oversee business operations activities to meet revenue and profitability targets
Oversee and manage a variety of ad hoc tasks as they arise related to: metrics, strategy, leadership, employee issues, employee development, client issues, center tasks, communications, administrative tasks and/or training
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Minimum High School Degree or GED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum three years of related job experience
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and staff at all levels of the organization
Customer-centric
Skilled in the supervision and business management of a retail location
Ability evaluate metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Adept in handling human resources and employee relations issues, or escalate when needed
Demonstrated initiative to solve operational issues and increase efficiencies
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays; center hours vary between 7am-8pm

The employee is regularly required to talk, read and hear in the dominant language of the location and English.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit for up to two hours at a time.
The employee is occasionally required to use arms and hands to reach and handle objects.
Repetitive and frequent need to squat, climb, bend, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
The employee will routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds while taking inventory, pulling food orders and stocking shelves.
Employee will use manual dexterity to frequently open boxes using required safety gloves and box cutters.
The employee will be required to lift items from the ground level to a height of 10" to 75" inches to place on food shelves. May be required to utilize a foot stool in order to reach the higher shelves.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision (if applicable) to complete paperwork and use the computer.
May require sitting for extended periods in front of a computer.
May be required to sit for an 8-hour period for 5 consecutive days while attending training.
In locations with walk-in freezers, the employee is exposed to cold temperatures ranging from 0 F to 5 F. In locations with stand-up freezers, the employee is exposed to cold temperatures while stocking and pulling food orders.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
