Prospecting and identifying new customers (exhibitors, advertisers & visitors) by cold-calling and going out on sales trips, and customer visits at trade shows and clients office
Responsible for booking space for the trade shows and Advertisement spaces in all show publications and Websites
Assisting the Sales Manager as well as working independently on finalizing sales contracts/agreements and providing service to visitor
Following up with existing clients and maintaining recurring business in order to build up the business by up sale from existing revenue.
Organizing sales leads and providing close follow ups. Also must be able to close sales and collect payment within the given deadline
Attending trade shows for prospecting new customers & promoting the fair name by distribution of show information booth by booth. Also helping to set up/tear down our own booth on the set up day and at closing of the show.
Business Acumen Ability to learn and understand the trade show business and develop key relationships with customers
Customer focus Very customer oriented so that business relationships are developed as a win/win situation for customers and UBM Asia. Must be professional & proactive to the customers needs while keeping in mind the companys business objectives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain good record keeping and organization.
Initiative - Ability to provide business-value suggestions that can improve efficiency or revenue for the business. Willingness to contribute creative ideas.
Leadership Ability to learn the business and work independently on work assigned on a timely basis. Should be able to handle multiple assignments, be deadline oriented and able to work under pressure.
People Development A true team player that is willing to help colleagues to be successful through collaborative efforts, creative thinking, and completing a project or helping a visitor on little things.
Sales Abilities Ability to develop good relationships with existing clients for recurring business, cold calling for new business development, and sales forecasting (periodic projections of business objectives versus goal). Able to expand business by prospecting new clients and opportunities and Closing sales.
B.A. or B.S. and proven sales experience a must
Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
Good computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Also some knowledge of Customer contact system (i.e. ACT or Access)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
