SHIFT:
35 HRS--Monday-Saturday 11p-630am $1,000 Sign-on Bonus PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Data Entry Clerk enters patient, client and test information into the Laboratory Information System and scan test requisition forms into electronic database.
May be cross-trained to receive and prepare samples for laboratory analyses and test.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

Entry of information from test requisition forms.
Accurately type Maxi log orders from client requisitions at a rate of 110 standard requisition and 225 Multi-forms per hour while maintaining 5% error rate during random quality check by Supervisor or Lead.
Verify and reconcile information on test requisition with the sample information previously ordered entry.
Properly route non-matching problem test requisitions to Supervisor or Lead.
Scan test requisitions into database and sign off on completed test requisitions.
Assists other lab personnel with specimen storage and ensuring Turn around Times (TAT's) are met.
Ensures documents are completed according to established SOPs and reflect current manufacturing processes and label claims.
May sort incoming specimens for processing track and sort X-Rays, Coggins and other items for delivery and create work orders in system for deliverable items.
May assemble equipment as needed.
Prepares and ships supplies, including processing related documentation.
Performs variety of administrative duties, such as answering and routing incoming calls, maintaining visitor badges and logs and other related activities.
Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology and specimen processing procedures and equipment helpful.
Work under close moderate supervisor with limited latitude for independent judgement.
Consult with senior peers on non-complex tasks to learn through experience.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency.
Applies job skills and lab policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Typically 0-1 years of related experience REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Laboratory skills, with experience helpful General science background, including hematology/chemistry helpful Attention to detail Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Communication skills, both verbal and written Positive, can-do attitude Basic math, interpretive and analytical skills.
Data entry skills required Personal computer skills, including strong typing ability and proficient use of Microsoft Office PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Extensive sitting, and computer use Heavy keyboarding and manual dexterity Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers Occasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch May be required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Hearing ability to effectively communicate via the telephone and in person Ability to communicate verbally on the phone and in person Fluency in the English language Extended hours may be needed Some travel may be required WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Laboratory environment with potential biohazards present that are mitigated by the mandatory use of PPE.
Works under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Potential for exposure to agents known to cause zoonotic disease in humans and use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
